KSL Radio Doug Wright Has Jason Chaffetz All Wrong

Doug Wright for all his savvy can't understand Constitutional restraints on commissions and czars and how those unelected officials undermine democratic processes!

Congressman Chaffetz was against the 12-man commission of this newly hashed-out budget proposal, but couldn't get a word in edge-wise for Wright's blabber about if Congress can't get it done, then we should bring in the Big Guys.

No, we do NOT need more appointed elites deciding about our budgetary future!

These Tea Party junior Congressmen have held the Good Ole Boys' feet to the fire, made the process transparent, forced the debate into the open, into the public eye, and made a dictatorial president come to the table contrite instead of intransigent in his ideologue positions.

But what we don't need to do is put this process of dispensing of public funds into the hands of small group of appointed commissioners.

I can hear Obama's advisers now: Whatever you do, get it out of the hands of the people and into the hands od a commission - away from the public eye; get rid of this rigorous debate and of making Congress and the President vulnerable to open exposure to the electorate.

This shift of power from the Congress to commissions and appointed czars is a dangerous move away from exposure to The People!

The good that comes from all this haranguing is that The People have been more involved. The Elitist role in deciding everything has been diminished.

Jason Chaffetz was incredulous that Doug Wright couldn't understand where the real repository of power should reside - with We The People!

8 George Bernard Shaw in a filmed interview stated that there many worthless people in the world, and called on science to come up with a gas that would get rid of those worthless millions. Science obliged with inventing Cylcon-B.
9 According to this former Russian economist, Michael Moore in his book Downsize This on page 27 states that the conservative writer William Safire would be raking manure in the society that Moore wants established. "We should take Moore's threat seriously."
